Founded by Richard J. Davidson, the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds (CIHM), at the Waisman Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison, holds the vision of creating a world in which healthy qualities of mind are investigated and valued.

Mission

The Center for Investigating Healthy Minds (CIHM) conducts rigorous interdisciplinary research on healthy qualities of mind such as kindness, compassion, forgiveness and mindfulness. Scientists at the CIHM represent an integrated team with a broad array of research and outreach with the goal of cultivating healthy qualities of the mind at the individual, community and global levels.
