Some in fishing call me Dr Kibble, or Kibsee. Amongst other things.....Lol
My photostream is a mixture of strange humour, and not your normal fishing photographs always. I try to show you something different, and give you as much info on fishing experiences I can. Or inform you of anything I think is good, or bad.
At one time I used to try and get in 40 or 50 nights fishing a season. Since March 1993 to now 2022. I haven't even managed to do over 200 nights fishing in total. I now only go once in a blue moon.
In August 2016 I started carp fishing again. After not wetting a line for nearly seven years.
Carp was once my favourite species, and still probably is. Though finding lakes that haven't been highly stocked with large numbers of carp is very difficult. A lot of lakes I fished in the eighties, and nineties. They only had six to thirty carp in them if you were lucky.
Though in recent years. Well it seemed to start all in the mid nineties. New fishery owners started to stock waters with hundreds of carp, and in some cases over a thousand carp have been put in some British lakes. Making carp fishing much easier, and reducing our other native species.
At one time carp on most lakes, or river systems in the UK, were one of the most difficult species to catch. In most cases now it is one of the easiest species to catch. It seems like most lakes have them now, and in large numbers. So that's why I stopped fishing a lot of my past venues.
Also many are not stocking them now at small weights. They are even stocking their waters with fish farmed carp over the thirty pound mark. Even carp have been stocked over the sixty pound mark on some waters. Which seems sad to me.
I try to still find waters that are a little bit wilder, and have carp in them that have grown in them from small weights, but it is becoming very difficult to still find such waters about.
I try to now find waters that are not to noisy, and lakes where people take their rubbish home. Unfortunately you still have people around that call themselves anglers that leave their rubbish at the waters edge, when they leave for home. The type of people that probably moan about rats being in their chosen swims.
I'm not someone who goes fishing every week anyway. I'm just a part time angler. I have other hobbies as well anyway.
Hope some of the photographs make you smile. Thank you for visiting.
Take care
