For ethical reasons, I almost always note if I edited an image, even if just for brightness or contrast. This is because I feel that it is important to acknowledge the actual time spent painstakingly composing an image with correct exposure and light instead of uploading vast amounts of originally mediocre images that became vastly improved by stealthy editing.
