I fully concur with Mooky BD's testimonial. The hallmark of a true artistic photographer is consistency in their body of work. Michael is a master of black and white photography who clearly understands how to get drama through uniform application of tone and contrast. Either clear sky or long exposure removes distraction and guides the eye to the subject. His artistic/photographic vision is clearly evident in his composition and overall treatment of the image. I am learning a lot by the detailed study of his work and this inspires me to experiment using some of his technique. I believe that the best compliment a photographer can receive is when they inspire others and motivates them absorb new techniques into their own photographic signature. After all, this is what Ansel Adams did to generations of photographers. Well done Michael, I wish you continued success!

If you look at the history of photography one process has always replaced another process and here is a prime example how Michael brings the digital tools to Black and White photography, looking at Michaels work it is about the interaction of light here we have many levels of different intensity putting that all together it takes on a whole collection of different sensibility, he touches on documentary, architectural geometry, surrealism, mystery, organic, etc. and they all fit together harmoniously, there is no best photograph it is a gallery of great artistic work. Michael is an inspiration to me I wait patiently to the next photo. Michael, thank you for sharing!
