Originally from London then 3 years in Bradford Yorkshire, three years in Manchester Lancashire but have lived in South Orange County, California, since 1981. Was a school teacher, musician and a hotel manager, (retired).

Hobbies are photography, playing music, Pickleball and following West Ham United and other football teams.

My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic in 1965 which I used through University in Yorkshire, teacher training college in Lancashire, a 6 month gig in Bahrain and my short teaching stint in Manchester. My first 'real' camera was a Praktica with a 50 mm 2.8 Zeiss lens in 1971. Next in 1974 a Nikkormat (which I still have) with a Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens and Nikkor 24mm 2.8 lens. In 1976 I bought a Nikon Photomic body which was destroyed in a rear end collision in 1983. Started my digital journey with a Coolpix, D100 in '02, D200 in '07, D3 in '09 and I've been using a D5 since '17. In 2019 I went mirrorless with a Z 7 so as you can see I've stuck with Nikon gear for 50 years.
