Born into an Air Force family, I was raised across the United States, Spain, and Bolivia—an upbringing that immersed me in different cultures from an early age. That early exposure shaped a lifelong interest in exploration and storytelling, which I later pursued through a degree in anthropology at CSU, Chico.
Over the past 25 years, I’ve spent extensive time living and traveling throughout Bolivia—crossing high desert landscapes, navigating Amazonian river systems, exploring Incan ruins, and spending long stretches in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Along the way, I’ve also learned how to travel with a chronic health condition, which has quietly shaped how I move through the world—more deliberately, and with a deeper appreciation for both planning and unpredictability.
Now based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, I focus on travel photography across Latin America, Europe, and Africa. My work ranges from expedition-driven wildlife and landscape imagery to more observational street, architectural, and day-to-day moments encountered along the way.
When I’m not traveling, I spend time cooking, gardening, watching films, and hiking with my wife, Karla, our sons Matteo and Nicolas, and our English Shepherd, Suki.
This space is a collection of images from across those journeys—some from more structured expeditions, others simply from being out in the world with a camera.
