I am a birder and take photographs primarily to confirm the bird's identification and then to support records I submit to eBird. I like to create Flickr albums for each birding location or bird family which I then use to sharpen my identification skills.

I use a Canon 'bridge' camera which enables me to react quickly as opportunities arise. This does not always result in high or even good quality photographs but the majority are of sufficient quality for me and hopefully the eBird reviewers to confirm the bird's identification. While this may sound like a feeble excuse for me to include sub-standard photos in my albums, it is the way I work and this method suits me!

I welcome any comments and suggestions where you believe I have incorrectly identified particular bird species.
