Always had a fascination with all things mechanical. It probably started at a very young age - just old enough to see the tail end of those great 50's and 60's cars and trucks being used daily before being parked in bone yards (and back yards).
I also recall seeing those same great rides being dismantled, pulverized, and sent overseas to be used in making new washers, dryers, and toasters for our North American consumption.
Since then, I've spent the past decades travelling North America, flushing out really neat old cars that were abandoned in old garages and on rural properties. In particular Ford, Meteor, Mercury and Monarch cars of the 1950's.
Above all, it has been meeting the most excellent people you could ever imagine during all these hunting adventures, and getting the satisfaction of knowing that folks like us are preserving a piece of our culture and history for future generations, even after our stewardship has come to pass.
Many of these great vehicles on this profile would have been lost to the giant boneyard in the sky if it wasn't for grassroots hobbyists and restorers like ourselves.
