I got my first "real" camera in 1995 (a then 20-ish year old Minolta SRT 101, aka the best camera ever), and I've been hooked on photography since then. Not necessarily good at it, but definitely hooked. :)

More Minolta cameras followed, including a couple different XG models, and of course, I eventually added the X-700 and X-370 to the line-up. I "branched out" into Yashicas with a yard sale find of an FX-2, to which I added an FX-3 Super 2000 and a Yashica A twin lens reflex camera.

In November of 2012, I crossed over to "the dark side" and got a Nikon D5100. I switched to a Nikon D7500 in August of 2021. Even though I haven't used them in years, I can't bring myself to give up my film cameras.

I shoot whatever takes my fancy, from things that don't move to things that do. That includes things like my dogs, buildings, plants, ships and boats, and landscapes. Really, about the only thing I don't typically shoot is portraits of people, although I will grab the odd candid shot here and there.

Most photos I post are only lightly edited, generally just tweaking brightness, contrast, and the like a bit, but sometimes I decide to get creative, and will use preset options in my editing software to achieve a certain "look" that I find interesting.
