As a freelance writer I have had photographs published through the years and admittedly I didn't take it too seriously. I enjoyed the photographing, but just tried to get something acceptable for the article. But along the way my interest in photography grew. Because i wanted to get better nature shots I purchased a Canon SX100 10X zoom in 2009. While that has allowed me to take/make some long distance shots, I still know very little about photography, and would like to be able to take quality macros of insects as well as other nature shots. While the vast majority of my photographs are of my kids, I'm most interested in nature photography, and would like to thank flickr photographers for inspiring me!
