I have worked in the Horticultural & Amenity sector all of my life, mainly in Local Authorities, but a stint of 16 years self employed in Landscape & Garden maintenance. I have been interested in photography all my life, however not an expert, I know what I like, and have an eye for a good picture.

My father Herbert Frank Tarring was also a dedicated photography enthusiast all his life from the 1920's until the early 1980's, working in his early life with the glass plate format, then moving onto the negative & positive film we see today. he was a part time freelance press photographer during the 1920/1930's before his War service in the Royal Observer Corps. The images in this Showcase are predominantly my fathers, and of course there are many more in my Flickr public albums.
