Lifelong Lego fan hailing from Atlantic Canada. I began playing with Lego as a kid and haven't stopped since. My dark ages consisted mainly of hiding my Harry Potter sets (2001 ftw) in my attic whenever my friends came over. Other than that, Lego has been a constant.

My favorite theme is undoubtedly Castle. My favorite subtheme is Royal Knights however I believe Fantasy Era (2007-2009) was greatly underappreciated. I'm a huge LOTR/Hobbit guy and collected every retail set while lamenting the fact that TLG shut down the theme. My favorite builder who inspires me is Derfel Cadarn on Flickr and I believe he is the best Castle MOCer out there. Other favorite themes include Pirates, Western, Adventurers, Space, and more.

The closest I came to Lego stardom was being selected as a Staff Pick on the Lego Ideas page (twice!) for my Brewmaster's Retreat build. You can see the *now expired* project here: ideas.lego.com/projects/fb5b2ed5-016d-4de8-aea5-7c204019a274

I helped create our local LUG and we are now an RLUG. I consider myself an amateur builder with a lot to learn. My Lego interests these days revolve around building small MOCs and learning techniques from others. I follow Brickset for Lego related news and Flickr is my main platform to follow the vast network of talented Lego builders and artists around the world. Please don't hesitate to connect with me as I'm always looking for discussions about everything Lego! Cheers.
