################ April Update #################

Travelling all over the UK now to put more of a fine edge on my porfolio, so don't let distance stop you from getting in touch with me.

################ About Me ##################

I do this for the love of the art. Creating beautiful images is my absolute passion. I dream it. I want you to be part of it.

What do I get out of it? Personally, I have a variety of motives for shooting the way I do. First and foremost: I simply enjoy the act of creation of a beautiful image, from pre-shoot planning, through the shoot, to post production, printing and exhibition - I've always enjoyed a creative streak and not just in my photography; then comes the satisfaction of working with such talented people, sharing a passion with them, trusting them wholly and gaining their trust in me, as a photographer and as a person.

So on to a little about the styles I like to shooot.

################ Call for Models ################

I don't sit and make lists here for the hell of it. MM Lists are tools I use for selecting my models and for gaining inspiration for future shoots, so if you find yourself in one of my "want to work with" lists, then I do genuinely want to work with you.

Yes, I want to work with YOU (National)

Yes, I want to work with YOU (Aberdeen)

Of course, if you're not on the lists, then maybe I just haven't found you yet. I don't bite, so get in touch!

################ Figure ###################

Recently I've been focussing more on fine art figure work. In my opinion, there is nothing more fascinating, with more timeless beauty than the human form in all its guises. It saddens me to see that so few of us see that in our own bodies and personalities.

I make no money from my photography - more's the pity... In many cases, my payment is the satisfaction I get from helping someone to appreciate the beauty in themselves, especially where they thought they were nothing special... they are!

Age, sex, height and weight mean nothing when it comes to these abstract forms and bodyscapes. In this genre, features with which the model has issues can be minimised or hidden completely. Similarly, with the picture focussing on the beauty of the form itself, anonymity can be a welcome side-effect! (perfect if you're a first timer who's a little shy about getting into nudes)

I definitely want to start pushing the envelope further into the fine-art figure genre combining male and female nudes in the studio. See the stunning examples below © the marvellous Andreas Bitesnich and © the inspired Karel Vojkovsky (MM)

So, guy or girl, get together with your partner (or of course another model you're comfortable working with at this level) and drop me a line. I'm just as interested to hear from curious first-timers as I am from seasoned professional models.

I've prepared a few notes for GIRLS and BOYS which may help you prepare for your first fine-art figure shoot.

################ Dance ###################

Starting to push forward with the dance themes with the emphasis on movement. If you're a male or female flexible dancer (16+) then I want to hear from you. You need to be able to do leaps or at least high kicks, splits etc. As in the figure work above, my dance photography is all about shape, form, definition, lines etc.

I'm working towards the level of images created by master dance photographer Lois Greenfield. Simply stunning - see below.

If you'd like this sort of images done for you - either solo or in a group - then please get in touch.

################ Fashion ##################

I'm looking to explore the field of post-Wedding fashion work similar to the images shown here. Looking for models with access to appropriate wardrobe and accessories to build my portfolio in this area.

I really love edgy fashion shots, like those Levi's or Calvin Klein jeans ad-campaigns (see below). I like my photo's to look like everyone involved actually wanted to contribute something of themselves to the image, rather than just "be in it".

##### ...and finally... ####

Drop me a line if you're up for any of the above.

So it's goodbye from him, and it's goodbye from me!

Guy
