I don’t consider myself a photographer but more an enthusiastic happy snapper taking photos of anything that catches my eye while trying to capture that elusive perfect picture and match some of the excellent photography found throughout Flickr.

 

Photography for me is a hobby and see no point in hiding the results away on my PC or in a drawer never to be seen, hence this collection. A lot of the pictures I take are of family, my little Shih Tzu cross or mainly while out walking or running around the rolling wooded Chiltern Hills (AONB) where I live in South Buckinghamshire UK, but also around the coast and countryside or other places of interest and areas of outstanding natural beauty about the British Isles. Most of my photos are geotagged (except my home) or at the very least I try to include something of the subject in the description.

 

Although generally I have no problem with most of my photos being used elsewhere, please note that it will be considered a violation of my privacy if they are used without first seeking my permission, especially any photos that are marked restricted.

 

Another of my passions is my local football club, Wycombe Wanderers, who I have followed since about 1972 and have seen rise from the amateur ranks up to the Championship and there are a few albums relating to this.

Me? …. I was born midnight 17/18th March 1958 in the Shrubbery (flic.kr/p/2oDzKEy), High Wycombe (my mother was given the choice of which I should be born, she got it wrong and I’ve had to share my day with some Irish hero who had a thing about snakes), the fifth child of 5, married in 1983, had 5 kids of my own and now granddad to 3 – My first word was ‘cake’ (and why not?), have a double crown and was one of the few England supporters at Wembley in 1977 when the Scots torn the goalposts down (flic.kr/p/q8K5Ah), other than that nothing too out of the ordinary.

 

Having suffered a heart attack while out walking (and taking photos ... flic.kr/s/aHskqxAnm3) in late Dec 2016 , I spent most of 2017 and onwards trying to regain my fitness and lose weight to reduce the risk of further heart problems although I have now developed persistent AFib and recently disagnosed with Chronotropic Incompetence - this is an album showing the various activities I have been up to (mainly trail runs) .... flic.kr/s/aHsm7FFJi8
