I love life and all the little things happening in it. That's why I love my camera. It enables me to catch the beauty of life in a wide range of aspects. I like to be surrounded by nature, but also cities and architecture can make my heart bounce. Besides that I like also the beauty of people from young to old and try to catch them in a natural way.

Music is a great passion to me and I play the cello myself. Good music can bring me in ecstasy, which widens my horizon.

I used to dance ballet at amateur level. It's fascinating to me to experience the fluid movements that the body can make on music, even though it is really hard work to get your body into such a balance.

Another great passion of mine is leather. I like the tough and rough, but still soft material and the way it reflects the light. I feel good and natural in it and that's why I wear it a lot.

Driving my motorcycle is another way to feel free and unhibited. I am not so happy with narrowmindedness and believe that a free spirit provides you with the best life has to offer. Nothing better then a good motorcycle trip then, where all your senses get stimulated to the utmost.

I started with photography at age 11 and I was very happy with my first SLR camera from Praktica. The camera was cheap, but was not automatic at all, so I had to learn about the right lighting settings myself. I used a simple photometer for that, which I had to keep before my eyes before I could take a picture. Time develops most things and now I photograph most of the time with one of my three cameras:

Leica D-LUX 6;

Fujifilm X-T20;

Fujifilm X-T5;

I use three prime lenses on the Fujifilm bodies:

- XF 16mm f/1.4 R WR

- XF 35mm f/1.4 R

- XF 90mm f/2 R LM WR

When it comes to editing I use Adobe Lightroom or Capture One. I like my photos to be as natural as possible, so when a photo needs some small changes I will take care for that, but I always try to keep my changes to an absolute minimum.

I am a proudly living gay man, with my residence in the very south of Holland. I passed the age of 18 a long time ago. As a matter of fact my two sons passed that age already!

I live together with my boyfriend in the south of Holland. He's also a photomaniac and he takes his photo's with a DSLR from Nikon (Nikon D5000 and Nikon D7500). You can find his pieces of art in my photostream. I would stongly suggest you take a look and let surprise yourself.

There might be some nudity in my photostream, but I don't consider all nudity as porn. We are all born naked and we live naked, only covered by a thin layer of clothing. But when photos might get to tough or explicit for a wider public I will reserve them for friends & family. All photo's have been moderated following the flickr guidelines.
