My interest in railways, started with model railways (which I still have) and a visit to the newly opened National Railway Museum in York which opened in 1975, from my visit there my interest in 12" to 1ft scale grew. Living in Cupar, I first got involved with the Lochty Private Railway, in the late 1979-80. After passing my driving test I went further afield and started my involvement with the Caledonian Railway (Brechin) Ltd, for 16 years. However in 2000 I moved on to a separate project that off the resotration of Ivatt Class 2MT No.46464, which was completed in 2024 after over 24 years of work.

Being a 'Fifer' many of my photographs are taken locally but I have been fortunate to have travelled throughout the UK and Abroad taking pictures of Railways. I'm currently working through scanning some of my older film images, along with continually up dating my current digital ones.

I have also have the collection of slides and photographs taken mostly around Ladybank from my good friend Alec Wilson who passed away in 2002. These I have been scanning and have placed in a separate album on here as well.

Thank-you for taking the time to view my pictures, I hope you enjoy my selections

Thanks to all those who had chosen to add some of them as a favourites
