Gold. Standard. Buillion. Ingots. 40 pounds. Greed. To swindle. Fake. Pyright. Foolsgold. Heaven. Have-nots. Tired. Capitulat. Disutility index. Happiness. Pursuit… does not imply success. Forget. Forget. Now.

There must be a movement towards more colorful definitions of this "divided" world through mixture. Through mixture we are able to create a more nuanced space. Naturally as the empire expands it is bound to incorporate more people fostering cross-pollination, generating wealth and culture. This is what we strive towards… or is it safety? Have we traversed the simple desires of animals? Do we have such an ego? We do.

The “new” framework is that of the goldbricker. It is to advertise falsely in a constant process of contradiction, advantageously reinventing and denying.

This is the most prevalent social movement. We, the goldbrickers recognize this falsehood and embrace it to elevate ourselves, unabashedly, in the social and economic order of the world. So hidden below our gold the grime becomes obscured and we begin to deny ourselves. It is the distance that we are able to maintain while sharing a kind of intimacy.

A unified and peaceful space is possible through the one true neutral, gold, but there is no further path to be pursued in such a reductionist model. How could one strive for the extraordinary without the tools to recompose? Our goal is to recognize and advertise the gold we smear upon our collective and individual surfaces. It is only another form of grime, yet it's reflective properties deny the viewer from the range below. We have high hopes for what is below and maybe this is part of our own selective viewing, but maybe if we become explicit about our feelings and ourselves, we will all be able to choose our destiny collectively - slowing moving stopping ourselves from that which we want; mobility through its pursuit. Here lies the contradiction – key to the goldbricker; if one is to take a stand no longer are they able to recant, to retell, to be the wizard of oz. YOU ARE THE WIZARD OF OZ.
