My city: Ulyanovsk is one of oldest cities in Povolzhye, picturesquely lies on the banks of the great Russian river Volga. Founded in 1648 and named Simbirsk, the city was aptly located on a high Volga coast.

Ulyanovsk is well-known all over the world as V.I.Ulyanov-Lenin's motherland - the bolsheviks' leader, the outstanding political figure, the leader of the October revolution that changed life of Russia.
