I was born and raised in Alaska and my parents taught me to love exploration, learning, discovery, and to look for beauty and wonder wherever I go.

I am currently a senior at Portland State University seeking a degree in Anthropology, and hopefully I will soon be a real live archaeologist. The pay stinks, and the working conditions are often challenging (if not downright awful) but I can't imagine anything I'd rather do with my life.

I love to take pictures purely for my own pleasure, and for the joy of sharing the beauty I see with others. I makes me so happy when other people like my work or are inspired by it. Nothing, no matter how wonderful, really feels good to me if I can't share it.
