Many, too many to mention, amazing images on the site have entertained and inspired me. It's unfortunate that so many talented and contributing photographers never get the acclaim they richly deserve. May you all prosper.

I'm a "Black Countryman" through and through, though I'm now resident in foreign parts about 30 miles away.

I travel when and where I can but since late May 2022 my health has caused me more than a few problems. Therefore my travelling has been curtailed somewhat.

Since moving to the area I've been a member of the local Broseley Camera Club.

Why do I take photographs? Simply for the pleasure of it!

A sucker for a pretty face (particularly red-heads), I prefer to take candid photographs of people (though I try not to include images of people that include religious affiliation), of railways, of the sea, in fact virtually anything (except cats and weddings). You may notice that I don't photograph much wildlife - simple reason why is because I don't have the patience. In short I'm a what you might call an "Opportunist Photographer".

Along with Princes' William and George, Tom Hanks and Nigel Kennedy I'm an Aston Villa fan.

As the 'collection' is now becoming rather large I've decided to do an annual cull of some of the least viewed images.

Just out of idle curiosity it would be nice if those making comments and/or fav'ing an image would indicate which part of the world they're from.

If you are not prepared to show any of your images publicly I am likely to block you.

What equipment do I use? Over the years more than you could shake a stick at, problem is I've never known how to use it. None of my images are created with AI and are never HDR. I do however crop some of my photographs.
