We are two 30-something adventurers currently based in Brooklyn, NY.

Saint, a former Peace Corp volunteer, always dreamed of riding a motorcycle from Turkey to Vietnam, so when he met a woman who had just come back from living in Egypt, who also rode motorcycles and loved to travel, he asked her if she’d be up for a year-long trip throughout Asia.

She said, “Yes.” And then, a few months after that, she said, “Yes,” when he asked her to marry him; making a year’s adventure a honeymoon as well.

Unbridled romance aside, both Coyote and Saint wanted some structure for the trip — something beyond merely checking countries and tourist hotspots off a To-Do-Before-They-Died list. Coyote wanted to gather stories, Saint wanted to give something back. Both of them wanted to see the world and do some good for it at the same time.

After a lot of deliberation they decided they could give back to the places they would visit by offering the skills they use in their day-to-day work back home. Saint already worked for a non-profit and Coyote knew the world of advertising inside and out. Together, they could make a difference.

THE PLAN:

To work with several nonprofits throughout the trip, building Salesforce.com systems to manage their work — providing professional consulting to groups who ordinarily wouldn’t have the means to access it. In addition to providing technical consulting, we’ll also be documenting our work and sharing the stories of the organizations we work with, providing valuable exposure for these groups doing excellent work.
