Apps' National Football League (NFL) work has been recognized five times by the Pro Football Hall Of Fame. In 2008 the Hall of Fame award him the Dave Boss Award of Excellence, 2007 (photo of the Year) for a picture taken of Brett Favre during the Packers' 42-20 NFC Divisional Playoff win over the Seattle Seahawks on January 12, 2008.
