Hello!!

My name is Carl Bovis and I love nature photography!

You may have guessed as much from my screen name!

I have a beautiful partner called Nicola and 3 gorgeous young daughters, who are my world!

I live on the Somerset Levels in the UK, a large area of flat land, much of it below sea level, so prone to flooding! In February 2014 we had flooding of biblical proportions and everyone who was anyone came down to see the flooding for themselves and the misery it had caused many home owners and farmers, from Prince Charles to the Prime Minister! Luckily, although my village flooded in parts, my house remained ok.... many others weren't so fortunate!

The Somerset Levels are great for birds, which are my greatest passion (Apart from Arsenal Football Club!)

I photograph as much as I can, and always have my camera nearby...I feel naked without it!

I also enjoy photographing sunsets and Poppies! My favourite Wild Flower, and sadly becoming harder and harder to find in Somerset!

As for Flickr, if I don't have time to comment, I fave.

I'm not one of these people who gets upset when people only fave my pictures, I take it as a compliment, and understand that like myself, not everyone has the time to comment around regularly!
