“Rather than being interested merely in documenting what is taking place, I'm more interested in looking within what is taking place. ... I believe in abstraction, for me abstraction is a way to get closer to reality. The defocusing or blurring of the image, the grainy quality, the faded out white, the enclosed black – it's as if it's an explosion of a thought, allowing the image to exist for a long time, so that, in harmony with the material, with reality, the image is filled with a spiritual content and is able to reflect the internal world, the drama of life.”
Mario Giacomelli
"Never look at the camera"
Walter Benjamin (1892-1940)
"I have taken many pictures of changing city according to the time. I changed camera. I changed distance from objectives. I changed walking speed when I took pictures. My aim is not to make a pile to heaven of masterpieces in the pyramid shape but to walk on the ground to make anonymous pictures. I will keep on walking far and far in forming infinite line and it should be."

"These are from a series of photographs I made documenting the construction of the Rockfeller Center. It was one of the first projects requiring more than one day's shooting; I went back many times to do it from many different heights, different angles and so forth. It was a very difficult project. There was the problem of gaining permission and the weather was often very cold, and I was locked upon with suspicion. Later I tried to interest the management of Rockfeller Center in the photographs but they said they had enough of their own. Of course, what they had were miserable little record photographs."
Berenice Abbott
"The technic and aesthetic do not matter to me. Only the essence of what is happening is important to me."
Antoine d'Agata

Yes, on this gallery, it's beautiful. And even more: It is Beauty plus Meaning. The understandable meaning from one civilization to another. The true meaning: sharing between peoples. Not the absence of meaning of contemporary, globalist art, which can be sold everywhere with the command to shape, distort intelligences and destroy cultures. Or to keep them on reserves, which is exactly the same diabolical project.
