I have always loved taking pictures. My first memory of snapping a shot was with my grandma's old box camera. I was always taking pictures of things I thought were pretty or beautiful or unique. (clouds, flowers, I even took some of the sunrise shining thru the frost on the windows!)

I have three boys and we have thousands of pictures of our family and our lives and memories. Two are adults now and the third will be off to college in a couple years.

A couple years ago I got ahold of a digital camera and had the opportunity to travel. Of course I had to capture the moments and the memories to show my friends and family. I have found a new outlet for my creative side. It is so fun to have found flicker!

I still take pictures of almost everything. So much of the world is here for a moment and then gone; the sunrise, the sunset, a flower in full bloom, fruit on the vine, the seasons, the clouds and especially the people in our lives. Every time I go past an old house or barn or shcool or church I wonder about the people who used to use that building. I love mysteries and each old stucture or deserted farmstead poses so many questions!

I guess my desire is to "Capture the wonder of creation and the passing of time." I hope you enjoy browsing thru my pictures! picturethepromises. Get yours at bighugelabs.com/flickr
