I started getting more serious about photography after I retired, which happened to be just before the pandemic came along in 2020. Picture-taking gave me an extra reason to get outside and a context in which to keep learning new things. I take most of my pictures within an hour’s drive of my home in central Maine, but occasionally I venture out to the other coast, where there’s a whole different set of challenges to learn from.
