Thanks for visiting my page! My name is KOHNO Toshihiko (河野利彦).

After 34 years of working as a photographer for a publisher in Tōkyō, I became a freelancer in 2011.

I used film-based cameras until 2005. The film-world rapidly declined around that time, digital cameras were gaining in strength every day. These days, I only use digital cameras, mainly Nikon D800E or D3, sometimes Sony NEX-5. Anyway, I hope some works of my film days will be uploaded in flickr.

Going on trips is one of my favorite things. My favorite countries are Taiwan and Thailand. You can see my photos taken in Taiwan since the 1980's on my website. I have been interested in Theravada Buddhist regions in Asia lately. I enjoy cooking, drinking and horse racing.

Having gained a longtime friendship of a Japanese potter, H. GEN KOZURU (高鶴元 こうづる・げん), it is my pleasure to introduce his works through my viewfinder, with his kindly permission. He is a great ceramic artist.
