i love curves, contrast, shapes, lines and angles. i love colors, textures, tones, grain & mood. these are the things i try to capture on film and digital. at the moment i prefer film because i find that i focus more. i don't flip the camera down and check the lcd after every shot. i compose, focus, crank (or insert film holder & pull darkslide) and trip the shutter. i can then move on to the next shot knowing that i did my best to create what i hope to call art. i also enjoy the anticipation that comes with waiting to deliver the film to the lab followed by the wait to have it developed. sometimes it's not what was expected, but most times it's just about right.
