When all my schoolfriends were reading Beano & Dandy comics i was reading my dads Commercial Motor magazine. My dad started at Esso in 1967 as a tanker driver, i was 1 year old at the time and that was the start of my lifelong love of trucks. On many occasions as a young kid i joined my dad on his fuel deliveries in his petrol tanker and what a buzz that was for me! Throughout the 70's and early 80's my family attended the many of the LDOTY competitions held in the South East. The Esso drivers did well in these competitions and always returned to West London Terminal with lots of silverware.
I like truck models of all scales but my collection is mostly in 1/50 scale.
