From an early age I was interested in railways, from the late 1950's up to the end of steam on BR in 1968. Living, as I did near the ECML, my favourite locos were A4's, although Wakefield had both LMS and LNER lines, so I well placed to see a variety of traction. Wakefield MPD (56A) boasted many WD's, plus LMS tanks for local trains, B1's, even Jubilees towards the end.

My interest was rekindled when I bought a digital camera and went back to the KWVR around 2000. I'm a lineside pass holder for the KWVR, plus GCR and SVR.
