Most of my photographic energy is devoted to pinhole and toy camera experiments. These images form, along with many found flea market snapshots, the basis for my fine art work. The act of drawing the photographic image is a reaction to the speed and ease with which photographs are created and reproduced. The very antithesis of an editioned print, each drawing can take countless hours to complete and forces my meditation on the image. It is very likely that in the hours I spend relating to one image the average person may come into contact with tens of thousands of pictures.

I also use Flickr to feature selections from my large body of 35mm and digital work. I've been shooting film for well over a decade now, but I've only recently embraced the digital SLR. I think of these images as the visual compost necessary to keep my aesthetic eye growing.
