1999 entdeckte ich die Aquarellmalerei für mich und nehme seitdem Unterricht bei der finnischen Malerin Kirsi Zühlke.

Am liebsten male ich neuddeutsche Motive. Ich liebe die Gemütlichkeit der Reetdachhäuser und die Weite, das Licht und die Farben der norddeutschen Landschaft.

Ich verwende selten mehr als 3 Farben in einem Bild. Durch intensives Mischen und Probieren erzeuge ich damit eine große Palette an Farbnuancen. Damit möchte ich gerne eine große Harmonie und Natürlichkeit in meinen Bildern erzielen.

Ich mag sehr gerne Bildkompositionen, die sehr reduziert, luftig und leicht sind und viel Weiß enthalten.

In 1999, I discover for myself the art of watercolor. I start to take lessons with the Finnish painter Kirsi Zühlke.

I prefer to paint motives of Northern Germany. I love the coziness of thatched roof houses and the vastness, the light and the colors of the landscape of Northern Germany.

Rarely do I use more than three colors in a painting. By thorougly mixing and testing I try to create a large palette of colour nuances. So I try to get great harmony and a natural expression in my pictures.

I like picture compositions which are reduced, light and transparent and which are determined by a lot of white.
