I'm a self-taught amateur who has been pursuing photography since September 2007. I started with a Canon Powershot G9, then upgraded to the Canon EOS 40D and my photography took off from there. Currently use a Canon 50D with the Canon 70-200 f/4.0 IS, Canon 100mm f/2 Macro, and the Sigma 150-500 f/5-6.3.

I enjoy shooting a wide variety of subjects but mostly favour nature. I also indulge in a bit of street photography during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. These days it's increasingly apparent that photography is not just a hobby but an essential therapy.
