Having been born in India and traveling around the world from a very young age , I have always been an extremely inspired individual. After graduating from high school in Southern York County, I knew I wanted a career in the arts and was so excited that I was accepted into Tyler School of the Arts in Philadelphia (where my mother had attended). However, following a brief trip to California to visit a friend from a Himalayan boarding school I attended in 11th grade, my dreams of college were replaced with a lust and passion to simply explore and be independent. I spent four years working, learning, and surviving in Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Berkley, and Los Angeles where I was eventually signed to Warner Bros records as a recording artist. The last two years have been enlightening and I have grown so much on a holistic level. Living in LA and constantly trying to defend who I was and what I wished to share with the world, battling commercialism and the obsession with monetary gain shaped me and gave me a beautiful and fresh appreciation for my unique voice and perspective on life. Since I moved back home November 2012 to the embrace of my family and friends and to the gorgeous rolling hills of PA and I have been working with children, teaching art and music, realizing how much I wish to share my creativity and vision with others, to inspire youth.

All art in this portfolio is recent and created within the last 6 months. I was tempted to simply provide the portfolio I had created in 2008 complete with photos of my travels and old figure drawings. I felt, however, my recent work reflects my ever-evolving aesthetic and what I am inspired by now as a slightly more cultured artist.
