Proverbs 29: says Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law and in Habakkuk 2: 2-3 it says: Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

It is interesting that many people, whether in their early or later stages of life, still don’t know where they're going. Your journey must be defined by a vision. Why? Because God created you to be a unique human being with a sense of purpose; this is the very essence of your life.

Without a vision a person has no direction, and is literally on a journey to nowhere. A person can carry many dreams but still go nowhere because they have not defined where they are going or how they will get there. In fact, many people live by other people's definition for their lives. This is not what God wants for you.

Vision is the divine deposit deep inside you; it distinguishes you and makes you unique. Vision is the footprint, the impact that you will leave on this earth. It's the eye of your spirit through which you can see where you want to go. If you have no vision you cannot know true success. Similarly, some people have vision with no direction or practical thinking. There must be a balance.

Vision opens the door to the maximisation of life. If you want to maximise your life and really enjoy it, you've got to have a vision! Once your vision is discovered and pursued your life can never be the same.

What is your vision? Where do you want to be? What do you want to achieve in 2020? Do you have 1 year vision? Have you cast a vision for the next five years?

As you hear all of the messages it is my prayer that you will apply the principles and fruit will manifest in your life.

There is an original plan and design for your life. You can find it, it’s not elusive. As you pursue God and ask Him, He will show you that His will is in your passion.

The Holy Spirit will help you to define your journey and arrive with a testimony, fulfilling your days, so that like Paul you will be able to say 'I have finished the course'.

With the help of the Lord you will arrive at the destination He has earmarked for you. He will make you a champion, a winner, an overcomer in the journey of life.

Remain Blessed in the lord Christ Jesus ..

Description

One symbol used of God in the Bible is that he is “light” and that his word sheds light to the world. Then equivalently, the lack of God in one's life is equivalent to being in darkness. In 1 John 1:5 it says that in God there is no darkness at all. This suggests that in the symbol, among the world we can expect to see a mixture of light and dark, and that mixing can give a false sense of security to society as a whole. This child is the light Peter tells us to pay attention to, as to a light shining in a dark place. This child is the light of God’s presence in the world. This light is God’s word and God’s truth made incarnate. This child would become the light of the whole world. Creation moves from darkness to light. Each day moves from evening to dawn. Israel moves from captivity toward the pillar of light. The priest turns his back to the shadows and draws near God’s light in worship. And the people walking in darkness see a great light. Unto us a child is born, a son. One to whom is to be ascribed all the goodness and greatness of God. The one who will be called, "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

This child would make the sun, moon and stars obsolete. There would no longer be a need for a pillar of fire or for a golden lampstand. God’s word would come in the flesh, to personally call men out of darkness into light. And yes, we would do well to pay attention to it!

In 1 John 1, the symbol of light for God is used. It defines light to represent God, and how people have a choice to be associated with him in that light.

1 John 1:5: This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and don't tell the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. WEB

Of course, this isn't talking about a physical light in the sense of electromagnetic radiation, but rather a spiritual light. The spiritual light isn't seen by the eyes, but rather the amount of light can be sensed by conscience.

By analogy though, light is one of the things we get used to, and take for granted the amount we get. A dimly-lit room may not feel so dim until a bright light is turned on.

Our society as a whole has experienced the spiritual light of God from his word that he has delivered. On the whole, people have some understanding that some things are right and wrong, and this can be represented by a measure of light in the world. An example is given of people being in the light,

1 John 2:8: Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shines. He who says he is in the light and hates his brother, is in the darkness even until now. He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and doesn't know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. WEB

People understand some of this type of commandment, and a respect for other people has become part of the accepted morality of society. Many aspects of values have origins in the values of God, but in a relativist society that doesn't value God as a God, this light is more there by history and accident than by design.

With there being no longer being any definitive source of values moral standards in the west, they are just following a random path of what people on the whole are comfortable with. However, because of the remnants of light from light of God, people don't feel they are in this spiritual darkness, and so are comfortable that they know what is right and wrong.

People can feel that they are in a light and can see spiritually because of the dim candle that society is keeping going among the rest of the darkness. That dimness of the free-wheeling values of society is perhaps just enough to keep people from realising that they are missing out on the full light of God in whom there is no darkness at all.

In God’s economy we are to be continuously moving away from darkness toward light. From evening to morning. From that which is formless, empty, and dark toward that which is made new, fresh, and filled with light. This is all part of God’s design in creation and it is all part of his formula for life. The advent of light is the dawn of day. We were destined to live in the light. We were not created to live in darkness. In darkness, everything dies. Life becomes an utter impossibility. In the darkness, that which is formless, empty, and dark, remains formless, empty, and dark. It remains lifeless.
