Hi i'm Justin wood and have always been fascinated with the world around me and how it works. As a child I was always exploring around wanting to discover something new and was always excited to get out into nature. When I was 8, I got a $20.00 film camera for Christmas and right away, could not resist using it to capture favorite moments and places. However I quit taking pictures for a while and did not get back into it until I was 15. At that age I also bought my first digital camera which was a small cannon compact point and shoot. What became something for just snapping pictures of memories grew into a hobby quickly. I took my camera on every vacation and often took pictures every day. During 2012 I started looking at all of the high quality photography on Flickr and wanted to start taking better quality pictures so I started really getting into it and by December 2012, I bought my first DSLR.

My preferred type of photography is landscape and nature photography. I have always been fascinated by nature and capturing it's spectacular moments. I find it to be a real treat walking through a quiet lush forest with that familiar smell of dampness, watching a spectacular storm over the prairies, watching a fire orange sun set over a coniferous forest or walking up to a glass calm mountain lake in the morning.

I will also try many other types of photography as well.

My other hobbies include mountain biking, guitar playing, sport fishing and camping.
