A Dutchie living in Great Falls (close to Washington DC) , Virgina, USA as an expat for 3 years. I have the time of my life! This is how I think about photography:

Awareness of self, others, and my environment. Some of the reasons why I like to photograph. When I look around, my eyes are filled with images. I see beautiful surfaces, lines, shapes and great subjects. Its a case of always being on the lookout for inspiration in everything. I like to show others what I see. The best part to me is when other people say “wow, I never would have looked at it that way.” Photography....it allows me to record the passage of time, to hang on to a memory, it allows me to share what I find beautiful and the ability to see something new.

Favorite cities

New York! It reinvents itself every day. The great architecture, the people, the whole atmosphere. I love walking down the street and seeing faces and drama and happiness and sadness and dirt and cleanliness.

Key West! This is my paradise when I want to relax and when I want to have a great time. So colorful and such a great laid back atmosphere. We come here every year.
