Drag to set position!
Hello and welcome.
As you can see, I am new to the sport of photography, I have always wanted to learn and try some shots so I bought a Canon 650D in December 2012 (small present to myself) and off I go.........
As a family man, wife, three kids, a dog and a horse, I thought we would have enough to capture moments in and around us, home and away!!!
As a kid I loved to explore, from the abandoned air-raid shelter to overnight stops in the ‘haunted’ house in the woods, I will always remember that experience, my childhood adventure and the tales that were told.
However, never with photography in mind, in fact I have only just really caught the bug for 'Urban Exploration' early 2013, but just that buzz again, the adventure and exploring of capturing abandoned and derelict places was unbelievable.
There is no difference between the sites, which attract tourism, and the abandoned places known to just a few. I may not pay for the admission, but I’m not a criminal either, I won’t cause damage, break or steal anything. I simply just like to explore and take the photos.
There is beauty in things decayed, the objects remain, but may soon disappear forever. That’s history.
I must really thank a close but distant (as in miles) friend from back in my home town of Sheffield, who has influenced me with his images and great shots over the years and to get near or within a few miles of his excellence would make my day!
Anyway, really for me it's about having a little bit of fun at home to look back on moments that we have had and shared with who or where ever it maybe.
Should you wish to add me as a contact, then please feel free.
Thank you for taking the time to look in and all comments will be gratefully received.
Mark.
