I am a huge film camera nerd. At any given time, I may have 10-15 tabs open about camera history or ebay camera hunting. It all started when I was 8 years old and I found my grandfather's Kodak Reflex II buried in the back of a drawer. I had no idea what it was except for the fact that it was a camera, nor did I have any idea how to use it. A few weeks later, I found my mom's old camera from college: a Pentax K1000 with a beat up leather strap and grimy metal. Even though the camera didn't have film, I would run around the house and pretend to take pictures. I could not get enough of that feeling as the winding lever primes the shutter then releases the energy with a godly *cl-ICK*. Soon, I put actual film in the camera and have been bitten by the photo bug ever since. My favorite cameras in the collection, if I was forced to choose, are my Pentax ME Super (my first real 35mm camera and originally my father's go-to), Olympus Pen FT, Canon Canonet QL19 GIII, and Kiev 4. I do however also have an inexplicable fascination with strange 80's and 90's point and shoots. I love to travel, and try and take as many pictures as I can when I do.
I don't ever see my love for cameras or picture taking ever going away, so here is to film! May you live a long and prosperous life.
