Now mid-60's, I was an early retiree after a lifetime's work in the Rail Industry. Now working on the West Somerset Railway, and when time permits collecting photographs taken in my home town and surrounds - Luton, Bedfordshire. Top favourite is Luton Corporation, followed by United Counties, Birch Brothers and private operators such as Seamarks, Bunty Coaches, Hillside and other less well known companies. Have been a PCV-licensed driver since the late 80's working for Timebus Travel and the now-closed Shire Coaches of Park Street, Hertfordshire.

Best coaches? Mercedes 0303 D358 CBC and for simplicity DAF D102 ERU

Best buses? Re-engined LT Airside Routemasters (RMA's)..oh and of course Bristol RE's (having formerly owned ex-Luton example UXD 129G), London Transport RF's and GS's, having previously owned one of each!
