I have always enjoyed photography right from when I was a young child. My father started in photography in about 1925, developing and printing his own photographs. His interest encouraged my long slow journey into photography. It is in the family as my brother is an excellent wildlife photographer. Two years ago I retired and decided to treat myself to a Canon digital SLR EOS D600. The camera is way beyond my capabilities but I am enjoying a tremendous amount of pleasure from learning how to use my new acquisition. I learn a lot from all the wonderful photographers I follow on Flickr. I try whenever possible to include as much information as I can about my photographs and where they are taken as I think this helps with the enjoyment for other people who visit my photos.
