I have been interested in serious photography since 1984, when I bought my first SLR camera. Have been a member of several camera clubs since then and have been a club lecturer and judge for about 30 years, although largely retired now. Enjoy most subjects, especially people and street photography, with some dabbling in nature.

Married to Ann for 50 years with one grown up daughter and two grandchildren. Other interests include reading, most sports (but mainly watching these days!), prog rock music and seeing live bands, and theatre, cinema. Favoured holidays are scenic rather than beach...favourite spot Lake Garda in Italy.
