Pennine Horizons is a Heritage Lottery Funded Project that is based in the Birchcliffe Centre in Hebden Bridge. We are reclaiming the upstairs of the centre and creating a learning space for schools and adults alike, as well as a creating exhibition, meeting and events spaces for all the community to use and enjoy.

Throughout the three year project using the landscape of the South Pennies and its rich history we will also be developing trails around the valleys and making them available through printed guides as well as offering them as e-Trails. We will also be taking photographic and interactive exhibitions out into the community, offering community events as well as capturing some of that history to preserve for the future. This will be alongside the expansion of the Pennine Horizons Digital Archive that hosts a vast wealth of images reflecting the South Pennies and its diverse history.
