I am afraid the constant reminder to 'GetPro' as finally made me decide i have no desire to pay simply to avoid being bombarded with ads for things that i do not need.

It is a irritation i do not need.

Thanks for all comments, constructive or otherwise.

May the rest of your lives be peaceful and pain free.

Describe myself, well a bit like a cross between George Clooney,Trevor Eve and Martin Shaw, well thats my story and i'm sticking to it and this, for what it is worth is my photostream.

Now i must stress from the word go,these images are not works of art.

They are snapshots,pure and simple.

They are things, places and people as i have seen them,at that particular moment.

Quite few were taken on the run,as and when the opportunity

suddenly presented itself.

a great many of them are transport related.

I make no apology for that.

It is,and has been for as long as i can remember,my main interest and shares equal standing with drink and the other thing, you know the one i mean, food.

Like a great many, i suspect, i wish i had taken greater care when casually pointing the lens at some mundane object thinking to myself.

'Well if it dont turn out,i can do it again.'

Only to discover, usually too late, that the subject had gone.

Forever.

'If only.' How many of us have said that looking back.

Of course the reality was for most the sheer expense involved.

Snapping away with a Kodak or Ilford box camera back in the

50s and 60s,all too often meant rolls of deteriorating masterpieces, lying forgotten in sideboard drawers awaiting the day the keeper in charge of the household budget gave the go ahead to scurry off to Boots and deposit the precious memories.

Then the seemingly endless wait till they were ready for collection, then perhaps years later they would resurface and you would curse your lack of foresight when you realised you couldn't remember when or where they were taken.

Perhaps my biggest mistake .photography-wise, was to visit the West Coast of the USA carrying nothing more sophisticated than a Halina 110 pocket camera.

That was in 1980,i continued to use the thing till about 1986.

During that period i also compounded the offence by using, albeit for a thankfully short time, a Disc Camera, remember them?

Aahh well we live and learn.

I apologise if any one finds anything offensive,or simply not to their liking in any of my images.

I am happy to hear from anyone with something constructive to say,be it criticism or correction.

A final note.

Please remember that these are my photos.

if,by any chance you would like to use any of them, please ask.

Refusal is unlikely.
