I am Cecilia Iliesiu, a born-and-raised New Yorker. I started my dance training at the age of three and from the ages of eight to eighteen, I trained at the School of American Ballet and the formally-known Studio Maestro. Now I am fortunate enough to be a Soloist dancer with the Carolina Ballet.

I have been asked numerous times why I dance. My answer is because I never want to stop learning about the limits of the craft and where my body can take me. Every day in the studio and on stage is an opportunity to become the best version of myself.
