I live in Lancashire and have a passion for travel, photography, wildlife and the great outdoors; why I ended up working in IT I am still trying to puzzle out!

I have always enjoyed taking photographs and have usually had a "point and shoot" camera with me during my holidays around the world and in the UK. A couple of years ago my friends started buying DSLR's which piqued my curiosity; I was intrigued but slightly daunted because I had never used one before. I bought a Canon 400D about two years ago and read many books and magazine and talked to anyone I could about the wonderful hobby of photography. I still have so much to learn about this amazing medium and look forward to enhancing my knowledge and technique over the years to come.

I started a photography course in September 09 (City and Guilds level 3) which may or may not be the start of a different career, you have to dream don't you!!

I have just received my Canon 50D, my Canon 400D will now be used a backup.
