I am honored that you take the time to read my page. Most of my Flickr friends are in locations around the world and have no idea what Texas really looks like other than the famous TV program called "Dallas." or a western movie. Dallas is no more western than Hollywood, yet Fort Worth, 30 miles to the west, is "Where the West Begins." It is my goal to give you a virtual tour of some parts of Texas.

Texas is huge. It's nothing to drive 3 to 5 hours to get anywhere. We consider that "just down the road." Some locations are 8-11 hours away from Dallas. There are many parts of the state that I have not seen due to time and distance, but when I go there I'd like to take you along. When I'm fortunate to visit other locales as well, then I'll bring you along as my traveling companion.

I have various images which have sold many times through Getty Images. The most sold photo (and most honored in outside contests) is "Glory Window-8939."

I'm thrilled that several of my photos from the Old Tunnel State Park set were published in Lifestyle magazine of Comanche Trace and the Texas Hill Country. They mailed me two copies.

I'm also thrilled that six of my photos are on the website TrekTexas.com/Lake-Mineral-Wells-State-Park from my photo set of the same name. This site features the state parks and their amenities. Both of these organizations asked my permission to use my photos.

Several of my photos are featured on the Yahoo Worldwide Android Weather App for the local Dallas weather and a couple have been featured on the Facebook page for the Texas State Archives and Library Commission.

Come along for the ride and we'll discover more great locations.

States I've visited, many long before my interest in photography.

(June 2023) I updated the map to 34 states, 68%, but the new link does have the new number, but the link only takes you to their advertiser, a spreadsheet. The second link does take you to the map.
