KOICHI ISHII was born January 25 1979 in Kamagaya, Chiba prefecture of Japan. He started to create the performance when he was a student of the Tokyo Univercity of Agriculture. In 2002, he established KAMAGAYA Art Guild and he has produced the work. He use the classic novel and drama, (Yukio Mishima, Eugène Ionesco, Sophoklēs, A•Strindberg, Seishi Yokomizo, etc.)as text, and create a stage work with the Industrial art and actor's body.

In 2007, He was awarded the Excellent directors Award at the Toga Director's Contest which oranized by Japan Performing Arts Foundation.

He participated as as a representative in Japan "Asia theater director Festival 2013". In 2013,

He produced a stage production at the "Open-air Performing Arts Festival under Mt. Fuji", which organized by the Shizuoka Performing Arts Center.

Theater company which was formed in secret in the last day of the year of 2002 in Tokyo University of Agriculture in order to stage of Seishi Yokomizo’novel. Our most attractive feature is hard&heavy Stage art and actor’s body which metamorphoses. We are exploring deep into the body and soul of man placed in the dramatic situation of.
