My Photography History:
- In 2nd Grade my Godfather, Louis Spady, bought a childs darkroom kit to make b/w contact prints - 1967.
- My mother gave me a gift of a Polaroid Camera around - 1973.
- Living in Grants Pass I became very interested in b/w photography and its history, due to Louis Spady having
a Century Graphic 120 Film Camera, joined Rogue River Jr, Academy Yearbook Staff - 1975.
- My grandfather bought me a Canon Ftb 35mm film camera - 1976.
- First Newspaper Photograph Published: Loma Linda Bank Robber - Redlands Daily Facts - 1977.
- Expelled from the Redlands Police Departments BSA Law Enforcement Explorer Program for refusing to stop
taking pictures at news incidents - 1978
- Chief Photographer Redlands High School Yearbook - Makio: 1978

- Chief Staff Photographer: The Hemet News, Hemet, CA - 1990
- Self Employed Electronic Newsgathering (ENG) Photographer with video camera covering breaking news story's in the Inland Empire: With material airing on all Los Angeles TV Newscasts as well as occasional national news - 1995 to 2002.
- Arrested at capture scene of bank robbers on an open street in Redlands, CA - 1999. With Karina.
- Arrested at capture scene of robbery and shooting suspects after complying with police order to move
behind crime scene tape just being installed, Colton, CA - 2000.
- Sentenced to 4 months in prison, longest time ever given to working photojournalist in USA - 2000.
- Ended my news photography career, due to police harassment, lack of income, changes going to HD in television, digital auto focus in still photography and needing to support myself and my daughter, and not wanting to move out of the area or out of state, for jobs that would take me away from her - 2002.
Currently -
I rarely take pictures or do video these days.... I do not have a smart phone or digital camera or an HD video camera. Still have a couple Canon F1 35mm cameras, two tablets for "digital" pictures and a digital 8 video camera. I dusted that off to record something at daughter Nadia's school a few months ago and was the only person of 100 there with a video camera - everyone else used their phone - just guessing that those little lens in the phones dont zoom in very good from way back - but, yea, I am quite the dinosaur.
Just going through the past of family and news work, other things and daughter Karina. Hope that she will see this and remember that she was loved, and still is, that her father is here for her. Despite others agendas.
