It was not until very recently I was made aware of the opportunity to write / receive testimonials on Flickr. Oftentimes I visit, log in, upload and browse recent photographs uploaded by other members and contribute to groups to which I belong (when I am able). After all, I believe in the importance of supporting fellow creatives and photographers who enjoy sharing their work with others. Sometimes, on the occasions of browsing images posted on Flickr, one comes across something that resonates... an image or series of images which necessitates a pause, a moment to contemplate in admiration and utter to oneself, 'Now that is a photograph I wish I had taken...' I believe Didier's work is truly deserving of a testimonial. There is no mutual back scratching in my words as I speak how I find and, if I had known I was able to write testimonials sooner, I would have written one, two and more before now about others who have inspired me. So, what is it about Didier's work I find inspiring? Well, it isn't just one thing. There is a keen sense of observation and understanding of light. Composition and technique are executed with precision. But, there is also something else... exploration of boundaries in subject/genre as well as digital processing and editing.
